The Dodgers bid $25.7 million for the 25-year-old left-hander who Boras says reminds him a lot of Mark Beuhrle. Through MLB's posting process, the Dodgers have a limited window - until Dec. 10 - to try and sign Hyun-Jin. If they don't succeed they don't have to pay him any money.
It is unknown how much Hyun-Jin is seeking, but because he is associated with super agent Boras the asking price is likely to be a good amount of money. The two more recent high profile Asian imports - Yu Darvish and Daisuke Matsuzaka each received north of $50 million contracts.
