Elian Herrera bounced an infield single off of the glove of Marco Scutaro that brought home the game-winning run with the bases loaded. Herrera's single brought home Hanley Ramirez, who singled to start off the inning, was sacrificed to second by Shane Victorino, and got to third on a Luis Cruz single with one out. An intentional walk brought Herrera to the plate for the winning hit.
Aaron Harang gave up two hits in six innings of work, although one of those hits was a Buster Posey double that scored Scutaro in the first inning. The Dodgers responded with an Andre Ethier two-run home run off of Matt Cain that scored Mark Ellis and gave Los Angeles a 2-1 lead in the bot, but a Scutaro single in the top of the eighth brought home Angel Pagan to tie things up.
The Dodgers are now 85-75 and are still alive for the fifth and final playoff spot in the National League wild card race. They trail the St. Louis Cardinals by two games, and need the Cardinals to lose their final two games and win their final two as well to set up a one-game tiebreak. Anything else and Los Angeles is out.
