Dodgers Vs. Giants: Dana Eveland Gem Lifts L.A. To 3-0 Win

Dana Eveland pitched seven scoreless innings, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 3-0 win over the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park in San Francisco. The Dodgers have won four straight games, and 20 of their last 29 contests, and are at .500 (72-72) for the first time since May 2.

Eveland, who made the Pacific Coast League All-Star team after going 12-8 with a 4.38 ERA for Triple A Albuquerque, allowed just three hits and two walks to the Giants on Saturday, pitching into the eighth inning. It was the second straight superlative outing for Eveland, who has allowed one run over 15 innings in two starts with the Dodgers. He was promoted to the big club on September 1.

Kenley Jansen struck out two in a scoreless eighth inning, continuing his amazing work the last few months. Since returning from the disabled list on June 18, Jansen has allowed one run in 25 innings. Javy Guerra pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his 18th save.

Juan Rivera had three hits for the Dodgers, driving in one run and scoring another...on a balk. James Loney and Matt Kemp each tripled and scored for the Dodgers, who go for the series sweep and an 8-2 road trip on Sunday afternoon, with Hiroki Kuroda facing Madison Bumgarner.
