Clayton Kershaw & Matt Kemp Complete Dodgers 6-2 Win Over Padres

Clayton Kershaw pitched his fourth complete game of the season and Matt Kemp had a double and a triple to lead the Dodgers to a 6-2 win over the Padres Monday night at Petco Park. It was the fourth straight win for the Dodgers against San Diego this season. Kershaw tied a season low with only four strikeouts, but was economical enough to last nine innings.

"It was a struggle tonight. I'm just glad I got through nine," Kershaw said on Prime Ticket after the game. "I really just had one pitch. I was throwing my fastball in, and couldn't even get it away. Fortunately for me, they were swinging early and their popping some up and getting some groundouts."

Kershaw leads the National League with 182 strikeouts, and is now 13-4 with a 2.68 ERA. He has won five straight games.

Kemp continued his MVP-type season with two more hits. It was his fifth straight game with two hits, and extended his hitting streak to nine. Kemp is hitting .444/.462/.778 during the streak. Hiroki Kuroda starts Tuesday for the Dodgers, against Mat Latos.
