The Clippers have beaten the Nuggets in two of three matchups this season.

The Los Angeles Clippers look for their fifth straight win Wednesday night as they battle the Denver Nuggets at Pepsi Center in what could be a potential first round playoff preview, especially if the Clippers are able to capture the Pacific Division title.

The Clippers have four road games in their last five regular season contests. At 15-14 away from home, they are in search of their first winning road record since moving to Los Angeles in 1984. The best road record by a Los Angeles Clippers team is 20-21 by the 2005-2006 team, the last Clippers team to make the playoffs.

The Clippers (38-23) are currently the fourth seed in the Western Conference, but they are just a half-game behind the Lakers for the Pacific Division lead and the third seed. The Lakers hold the tiebreaker over the Clippers. The Nuggets (34-27) are currently in sixth place in the West.

The Clippers have beaten the Nuggets in two of their three battles this season, including a 109-105 victory in Denver on January 29 that snapped a Clippers nine-game road losing streak to the Nuggets.

The Clippers have won 12 of their last 14 games, and are 18-11 this season against teams currently in playoff position. The Nuggets have won four of their last five games overall and have won five straight home games.

Wednesday's 6 p.m. PDT game will be televised by KCOP.
