Stay connected for news and updates

The Los Angeles Clippers started out slowly with an early Saturday afternoon start, but Chris Paul and Co. picked up the slack in the second half as they pulled away for a 95-91 victory over the Houston Rockets. The win moves them to 25-18 on the season, with a 14-8 mark at home. Houston is now 24-21 on the year, and continue to struggle on the road, dropping to 8-15 away from the comforts of home.

Paul led the way with 23 points, five assists, three rebounds and five steals, and sparked a key run early in the third quarter to pull ahead. Blake Griffin added 18 points and eight rebounds, while Randy Foye added 15 points on 14 shots. DeAndre Jordan brought down 12 rebounds, as well.

The Rockets were a bit shorthanded because of injuries and trades, but they held tough for most of the afternoon. Courtney Lee went 9-for-13 from the field on his way to 23 points, while Chase Budinger added 19 and six rebounds.

Next up for the Clippers: the Detroit Pistons make their way to Staples Center. Tipoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET.
