The Los Angeles Clippers, losers of seven of their last 11 contests, look to get back as they continue their homestand Monday night against the Boston Celtics at Staples Center. The Clippers are playing the second game of a six-game homestand, while the Celtics are on the second game of an eight-game road trip.
The Clippers fell behind 21 points Sunday night in their loss to Golden State to open the homestand, though Blake Griffin and Chris Paul combined for 50 points in a comeback effort that fell just short. The loss dropped the Clippers out of first place in the Pacific Division, a game behind the Lakers, though the two are tied in the loss column.
Boston held a late fourth quarter lead on Sunday afternoon against the Lakers, but didn't score over the final 2:41 of the game, as the Lakers used an 8-0 run to beat the Celtics 97-94. Boston has dropped seven of their last eight road games.
The Clippers and Celtics have split their last three season series. This is their only meeting this season.
Monday's 7:30 p.m. PDT game will be televised by Prime Ticket. For more news and information on Clippers basketball, be sure to read Clips Nation.
