Jimmer Fredette hit a trio of three-pointers to key a 22-4 second quarter run in a back and forth first half, which ended with the Los Angeles Clippers and Sacramento Kings tied 57-57 at halftime at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento. The Clippers were up 40-30 with 7:51 remaining in the half when the Kings went on their run, which included five three-pointers. Fredette scored 11 points in the first half.
Blake Griffin scored 10 points in the first half to lead the Clippers, along with Bobby Simmons, in the second game of a 10-day contract with the Clippers, who also scored 10. Kenyon Martin scored eight points, all in the second quarter, for the Clippers, who shot 48.1% (25 for 52) in the first half.
The Clippers' bench outscored the Kings reserves 26-23 in the opening half, and committed just two turnovers compared to nine for Sacramento.
