Clippers Schedule 2012: Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets Next Up On Road Trip

The Los Angeles Clippers began their six-game road trip with a 108-100 win in Sacramento on Thursday night against the Kings. But with six games crammed into nine days, the schedule is jam packed over the next week or so. This weekend, the Clippers make two more stops on their road trip, beginning Friday night in Phoenix. Here is their weekend schedule:

Friday: Clippers at Phoenix Suns (7:30 p.m., ESPN & Prime Ticket): Blake Griffin and company take their road show to Phoenix to face a Suns team (15-20) three and a half games out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference. This is the first of four meetings this season between the two teams.

Sunday: Clippers at Houston Rockets (4 p.m., Prime Ticket): The Clippers obliterated the Rockets 117-89 on January 4 at Staples Center to drop Houston (21-15) at the time to 2-4. They would start 3-7, but have since won 18 of their last 26 games. The Rockets are 15-4 at home this season.

Clippers Vs. Kings Final Score: Chris Paul Leads L.A. To 108-100 Win

Chris Paul scored 22 points and dished out nine assists to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 108-100 win over the Sacramento Kings Thursday night at Power Balance Pavilion, in the opening game of a six-game road trip for the Clips. Paul had 15 points in the second half.

Mo Williams delivered 18 points and five assists for the Clippers (21-12) off the bench and Bobby Simmons, who was just signed to a 10-day contract on Monday, scored 13 points off the bench in just his second appearance back in the NBA since 2010.

Blake Griffin added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Clippers, who shot 47.8% on the night, and made 12 of 23 three-pointers.

The game was tied 57-57 at halftime, but the Clippers held the Kings to 35.9% shooting in the second half en route to just 43 points. Sacramento committed 18 turnovers in the contest.

DeMarcus Cousins had 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Kings (12-23).

The Clippers head to Phoenix Friday night to battle the Suns.

Clippers Vs. Kings Game Score: Jimmer Fredette, Blake Griffin Battle, Game Tied 57-57 At Halftime

Jimmer Fredette hit a trio of three-pointers to key a 22-4 second quarter run in a back and forth first half, which ended with the Los Angeles Clippers and Sacramento Kings tied 57-57 at halftime at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento. The Clippers were up 40-30 with 7:51 remaining in the half when the Kings went on their run, which included five three-pointers. Fredette scored 11 points in the first half.

Blake Griffin scored 10 points in the first half to lead the Clippers, along with Bobby Simmons, in the second game of a 10-day contract with the Clippers, who also scored 10. Kenyon Martin scored eight points, all in the second quarter, for the Clippers, who shot 48.1% (25 for 52) in the first half.

DeMarcus Cousins had 13 points and five rebounds for Sacramento, who has won two straight games. Marcus Thornton scored 10 points for the Kings, who shot 57.5% (23 for 40) in the opening 24 minutes.

The Clippers' bench outscored the Kings reserves 26-23 in the opening half, and committed just two turnovers compared to nine for Sacramento.
