Clippers Vs. Magic: L.A. Looks To Snap Losing Streak To Orlando

The Clippers have lost nine straight games to Orlando.

The Los Angeles Clippers have done their best in recent days to extinguish a few long losing streaks to NBA foes, and will get the chance to do so again Monday night as they face the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center. The Clippers (14-7) have lost nine straight games to the Magic.

The Clippers had lost nine consecutive games in Denver before beating the Nuggets on January 29, and had lost 16 straight and 42 of 43 games in Utah before a win in Salt Lake City last Wednesday. The Clippers last win against Orlando, home or road, was December 3, 2006.

Chris Paul and Blake Griffin will get a chance to scout the arena in which they will both start for the Western Conference in the NBA All-Star Game on February 26. Paul and Griffin are the first All-Star starters for the Clippers since World B. Free in 1980, when the franchise was in San Diego. Since returning from a left hamstring injury that caused him to miss five games, Paul has 67 assists against just 12 turnovers in seven games.

Orlando (15-9) has rebounded from a four-game losing streak to win their last three games, and open a three-game homestand tonight against Los Angeles. The Magic are 8-4 at home, and will have the services of power forward Glen Davis, who is back after serving a two-game suspension. All-Star center Dwight Howard has had five 20-20 games this season and in over half of his games (13 of 24) he has had at least 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Monday night's 4 p.m. PST game will be televised by Prime Ticket. For more news and information on Clippers basketball, be sure to read Clips Nation.
