The Los Angeles Clippers are second in the Western Conference after rattling off 12 consecutive victories. The Los Angeles Lakers may be coming out of there slow start, winning their last three games to improve to 12-14.
The Los Angeles Clippers currently own the NBA's longest winning streak at 12 games. The streak has pushed the Clippers to second in the Western Conference with a 20-6 record for the season. The Clippers are now just one game behind the conference-leading Oklahoma City Thunder.
For the Los Angeles Lakers things are not completely right yet, but the star-studded team has won its last three games to improve to 12-14. The return of Pau Gasol from injury and pending return of Steve Nash should help Los Angeles move toward .500 and improve on its current 11th place standing.
The Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs are just behind the Clippers, followed by the Golden State Warriors in fifth place. Minnesota, Houston and Denver round out the prospective eight playoff spots. Here are the full Western Conference standings:
In the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat and New York Knicks are leading the way. The Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls are chasing just behind the top two. Here are the full standings in the East:
