Double-Double Machines: Kevin Love has been a beast this season, averaging 25.5 points and 14.5 rebounds per game. Love has a double-double in all 14 games this season and had 64 double-doubles last season. Blake Griffin has seven straight double-doubles and is third in the NBA with nine on the season, after having 47 double-doubles in his Rookie of the Year-winning season last year.
Rookie Sensation: Minnesota point guard Ricky Rubio has been an exciting player so far this season, and in the Timberwolves' win on Wednesday Rubio had nine points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and six steals. It was just the second game in the NBA this season with at least six rebounds, six assists, and six steals, joining Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors on December 26.
