The Clippers' win snapped a nine-game losing streak to the Cavaliers.
The Los Angeles Clippers today look to snap a two-game losing streak, and gain a measure of revenge against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Staples Center. On February 11, Cleveland snapped their NBA-record 26-game losing streak with an overtime win over the Clippers. That was part of the Clippers' 11-game road trip last month, but now they are home playing the second game of a four-game homestand.
The Clippers have actually lost nine straight to the Cavs, though the first eight of those games featured LeBron James. This Cleveland team has the worst record in the league at 13-54, though they are 5-9 since their record losing streak. Baron Davis returns to Staples Center for the first time since the Clippers traded him to Cleveland, while Mo Williams and Jamario Moon get their first look at the Cavs since the deal.
Davis has averaged 14.3 points and 4.3 assists in four games with Cleveland, though he is doubtful tonight with back spasms. Randy Foye of the Clippers has made 24 consecutive free throws. Blake Griffin is one double-double shy of 55 for the season, which would tie Elton Brand (2001-2002) for the Clippers franchise record.

Griffin, Gordon Lead Clippers Over Cavaliers, 100-92
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Blake Griffin finished with 30 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, as the Clippers topped the Cavaliers, 100-92, at Staples Center. Los Angeles snapped a nine-game losing streak to Cleveland, and did it with the help of a healthy Eric Gordon. Gordon, who has missed the past six games with a right wrist injury, hit six three-pointers and finished with 29 points in the win.
Craig Smith added 12 in a reserve role, while Mo Williams contributed 11 for the victors. J.J. Hickson paced Cleveland with 28 points and nine rebounds. Ramon Sessions scored 18 with seven assists, while Samardo Samuels scored 17 before fouling out. Cleveland has dropped two in a row and six of its last seven.
The Clippers host Phoenix on Sunday afternoon, completing the rare back-to-back afternoon home weekend.
