Griffin, Clippers Blown Out In Memphis, 105-82

The Los Angeles Clippers ended their road trip on a sour note, getting blown out in Memphis by the Grizzlies, 105-82. Zach Randolph dominated one of his former teams, scoring 30 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, making 12 of his 18 field goals. Meanwhile, Blake Griffin had arguably his worst game as a professional, with eight points and nine rebounds in 32 minutes.

Griffin, who was held to single digits in points for the first time in his career, made just four of his 10 field goal attempts. He also had under 10 rebounds for just the 14th time all year. The All-Star has 54 double-doubles this season, which is one shy of tying Elton Brand's 2001-2002 campaign for the most double-doubles in a season in Clippers' history.

Marc Gasol grabbed 11 rebounds and scored four points for Memphis, who snapped a two-game losing streak. The Clippers shot just 40% from the field, including making just four of 17 three-pointers. Memphis made 53.6% of their field goals, including six of 12 from distance.

Eric Beldsoe led the Clippers with 19 points off the bench. The Clippers had a chance for the first 4-1 road trip in franchise history with a win tonight. But even though they didn't get the victory tonight, they still return home with the first winning road trip of five games or more in over five years. The Clippers start a four-game homestand on Wednesday night at Staples Center against Philadelphia.

Clippers Close Out Successful Road Trip Against Grizzlies In Memphis

The Los Angeles Clippers look to finish off their most successful road trip of the season tonight with a win against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Clippers have won five of their last six games, including three of four on their current road trip. Win or lose tonight, the Clippers are guaranteed of their first winning road trip of five games or more since January 30 to February 8, 2006. Here are tonight's probable starters:

Clippers (26-41)

Grizzlies (36-31)

At Clips Nation, Steve Perrin notes that the Clippers are trying to do something they have never done:

The Clippers have a chance to do something tonight they've never done before - win four games on a five game road trip. As sad as it is, the Clippers have never in their franchise history, even going back to the San Diego and Buffalo days, won 4 or more games on a 5 game road trip. They've already had an exceedingly good trip - even with a loss tonight, they tie their best ever results for a 5 game trip. But they've got a very good chance to make it four in five against the Grizzlies. When the Clippers played Memphis three months ago, they dominated almost every aspect of the game. In fact, the dominated every aspect except for one - turnovers. The Clippers committed a season high 27 turnovers in that one and lost the game by a single point.
