Chris Paul Makes Home Debut For Clippers Vs. Bulls

Chris Paul plays his first regular season home game as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers Friday night, and his opposing number is the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player. Paul and the Clippers have their home opener Friday night against Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls at Staples Center.

This is the second game at Staples Center in six days for the Bulls, who beat the Los Angeles Lakers 88-87 on Christmas Day. The Clippers and Bulls split two games last season, with each team winning on the road. This is the only meeting between the two teams in this lockout-truncated season.

Paul is averaging 15.0 points, 9.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game through two games for the Clippers, who are coming off a blowout loss on the road to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night. Blake Griffin through two games is averaging 25.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest this season.

This is the final game of a four-game road trip for the Bulls, who have won two of their first three games. Rose is averaging 18.0 points and 7.7 assists per game so far for Chicago, and the Bulls have a trio in the front court all averaging at least 7.7 rebounds per contest. Luol Deng leads the Bulls in scoring at 18.3 points per game and averages 7.7 rebounds, joining Carlos Boozer (8.0 rpg) and Joakim Noah (7.7 rpg).

Friday night's 7:30 p.m. PST game will be televised by Prime Ticket, NBA TV, and WGN. For more Clippers news and information, be sure to read Clips Nation.
