Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers is already slated to compete in the slam dunk competition during NBA All-Star weekend on his home floor at Staples Center in Los Angeles. However, the way Griffin is playing, Saturday won't be his only involvement on the court during All-Star weekend. Griffin has been a machine this season, picking up his 23rd consecutive double-double today against the Golden State Warriors. Griffin has 23 points and 12 rebounds today, giving him the longest streak of 20-10 games in the NBA in nearly a decade.
Griffin has had at least 20 points and 10 boards in 12 straight games. The last player to have a streak of consecutive games with 20 points and 10 rebounds of at least 12 games was Shaquille O'Neal, who had 18 straight contests overlapping the 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 seasons.
