Jazz 109, Clippers 97: Clips Lose Second Straight Despite Big Game From Blake Griffin

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Deron Williams led six Utah Jazz players in double figures with 26, and Utah used a strong third quarter to beat the Los Angeles Clippers, 109-97, at Staples Center. Williams added nine assists for the Jazz, who have won five straight overall and six straight on the road. C.J. Miles added 16 points, while Paul Millsap and Andrei Kirilenko both had 15 in the victory.

Utah trailed by as many as 10 and 60-52 at halftime, but outscored Los Angeles by a 27-14 margin in the third quarter to win comfortably. Blake Griffin posted 35 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists for the Clippers, who have lost two straight following back-to-back wins. Eric Gordon contributed 21 points in defeat.

The Clippers next play on Wednesday night, when they host the San Antonio Spurs at Staples Center. Both Chris Kaman and Baron Davis, who have missed the last 10 games, are expected to return to practice this week.

Clippers Vs. Jazz: Probable Lineups & Injury Reports

The Los Angeles Clippers are looking for their third straight home win, hosting the Utah Jazz at Staples Center.Eric Bledsoe sprained his left ankle on Friday night in Phoenix, and is listed as questionable, but is expected to start today's game. Mehmet Okur, who has missed all 17 games so far this season with a left Achilles injury, is the only one on Utah's injury report.

Clippers

Both Baron Davis (sore left knee) and Chris Kaman (sprained left ankle) will miss their 10th straight game today. Bledsoe is questionable with a sprained left ankle.

Clippers Host Jazz In First Of Two Sunday Games At Staples Center

If today's afternoon matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz is anything like their two-overtime thriller in Utah on November 6, Staples Center will be in for a treat. The Clippers lost that game three weeks ago, 109-107, but have won their last two home games. Utah has beaten the Clippers in eight of their last nine meetings.

Eric Gordon led the Clippers with 32 points on Friday in their loss in Phoenix, the third time he has scored 30 or more points this season.
