Angels Vs. Mariners Final Score: Halos Complete Sweep With 4-2 Win

The Los Angeles Angels came into Safeco Field on Thursday looking to make a statement in the American League West and they did just that, sweeping their division rivals the Seattle Mariners on their home turf in a four-game series. With Sunday's 4-2 win, the Angels have now won six in a row, their longest winning streak of the season.

Kendrys Morales drove in the first run of the ball game with an RBI single in the first inning, then stayed hot with a solo home run in the top of the fourth.

The Mariners cut the lead in half when Justin Smoak hit a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the fourth to make it 2-1 Angels, but Mark Trumbo led off the top of the seventh with a solo shot, his seventh of the year. Jesus Montero scored in the bottom of the seventh to make it 3-2, but Howie Kendrick would give the Angels an insurance run in the top of the ninth by hitting a sacrifice fly to drive in Morales.

C.J. Wilson allowed one run on two hits and a walk in six innings of work to pick up his sixth win of the year.

Angels Vs. Mariners Final Score: Halos Take Series With 5-3 Win

The Los Angeles Angels played the third game of a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners in search of their fifth straight win and a series victory. They managed to defeat the Mariners' best pitcher on the road and accomplish both of those goals with a 5-3 win.

The Angels got on the board first with an Albert Pujols solo home run in the fourth inning, his seventh of the year and third in as many games. The Mariners managed to tie the game and take the lead in the fifth inning on RBI singles by Mike Carp and Dustin Ackley.

The sixth inning is where everything fell apart for Seattle ace Felix Hernandez, however, as the Angels loaded the bases with no outs and Alberto Callaspo hit a one-out grand slam to put the Halos on top, 5-2. Justin Smoak would get the Mariners a step closer with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth, but that would be as close as Seattle would get.

Angels starter Jerome Williams turned in a quality start, giving up three runs in six innings of work on five hits and two walks, while striking out five. Ernesto Frieri kept his amazing streak of bullpen work going, as he picked up his second save with no hits and three strikeouts over 1.1 innings of work.

Angels Vs. Mariners Final Score: Halos Stage 9th-Inning Comeback For 6-4 Win

The Los Angeles Angels took advantage of a closer implosion on Friday night after trailing for eight innings against the hometown Seattle Mariners. Los Angeles ended up winning the second game of this four-game series by a final score of 6-4.

The Mariners struck first, with Justin Smoak driving in a run on a groundout in the bottom of the first inning. In the bottom of the third, Smoak hit an RBI single to drive in Ichiro Suzuki.

Smoak struck once again in the bottom of the fifth, hitting a two-run home run to right field to put the Mariners on top, 4-0. The Angels cut that lead down right away in the top of the sixth, as Albert Pujols hit his sixth home run of the year to make it 4-3.

In the top of the ninth, Mark Trumbo hit a leadoff single off of closer Brandon League and was replaced by pinch-runner Peter Bourjos. League walked Alberto Callaspo and made a throwing error on an Erick Aybar bunt that allowed the tying run to score. Howie Kendrick then drove in two more runs on a first-pitch single up the middle to give the Angels their first lead of the game, 6-4.
