Angels Vs. Padres Starting Lineups: Jered Weaver Vs. Jeff Suppan

The Los Angeles Angels look to get back on track on Friday as they open interleague play with a weekend series against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. Angels ace Jered Weaver gets the start for the Angels, looking for his sixth win of the season, facing Jeff Suppan for San Diego.

Former Angels infielder Alexi Amarista was recalled from Triple A Tucson by the Padres on Thursday and will start at second base for San Diego for the foreseeable future. Amarista was traded with minor league pitcher Donn Roach to the Padres on May 3 for reliever Ernesto Frieri, who has pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings for the Halos, with 10 strikeouts.

Before Friday's game, the Padres placed Tim Stauffer on the disabled list with a sprained right elbow, and activated former Dodgers pitcher Eric Stults, who will start on Saturday. Here are Friday's starting lineups:
