The Angels begin interleague play against the San Diego Padres. Will Petco Park stifle the Angels offense?
The Los Angeles Angels have been able to gain a little ground as of late and have moved out of last place in the American League West for the first time this season. The Halos will play their first interleague series of the year beginning on Friday, as they visit the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.
The Angels would seem to be the easy favorites in this series, but are just 6-12 on the road this season. Petco Park is infamously stingy, which could mean trouble for a Los Angeles lineup that has a tendency to put on anemic performances.

The Angels will have their ace on the hill as Jered Weaver gets the start in search of his sixth win. Jeff Suppan has also been good for the Padres and will enter the game with a 2-1 record and an ERA of 1.69.
