Angels Vs. Rangers, Game 2 Final Score: Halos Manage 4-2 Win In Arlington To Even Series

The Los Angeles Angels arguably hit the lowest point of their disappointing season on Friday night when they lost a blowout to the hometown Texas Rangers. On Saturday, however, they rebounded nicely and evened up the series with a 4-2 win.

The Halos got on the board first, when Mark Trumbo blasted a two-run homer in the top of the fourth inning. The Rangers got one of those runs back in the bottom of the fifth on a Craig Gentry RBI single and Josh Hamilton tied things up in the bottom of the sixth on his astonishing 18th home run of the year.

The seventh inning would prove to be the deciding one for the Angels, who loaded the bases with no outs on a walk and a pair of bunt singles. Kendrys Morales and Mike Trout brought two of those runners in with sacrifice flies. The Angels bullpen was able to hold on for the win in one of their best outings this year.

C.J. Wilson started for the second straight day after departing Friday's game early following a rain delay. Wilson performed admirably, giving up just two runs in 5.2 innings on five hits and three walks. David Carpenter was awarded the win, however.

Los Angeles catcher John Hester had two of the six Angels hits in the game. Albert Pujols was 1-for-3 with a walk.
