The Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday announced their opening day roster, with Alexi Amarista and the disgruntled Bobby Abreu on the team. Both Jorge Cantu and Ryan Langerhans were optioned to Triple A Salt Lake City.
The Angels open their series at home Friday night in Anaheim against the Kansas City Royals. Here is their 25-man roster:
Designated Hitter (1): Kendrys Morales
The Halos have an off day on Tuesday in Minnesota, and won't need to use a fifth starter until Sunday, April 15 against the New York Yankees in The Bronx.
Here are the pitching matchups for the Angels in their opening series against the Royals:

- Saturday: Haren vs. Luke Hochevar
- Sunday: Santana vs. Jonathan Sanchez
