The Los Angeles Angels have lost five straight games, but hope a Friday shakeup will turn things around. First, manager Mike Scioscia removed Jordan Walden as closer, then after the game Bobby Abreu was released, and top prospect Mike Trout was recalled. Trout is batting leadoff and playing left field for the Angels Saturday morning as the Halos battle the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field.
Trout, 20, was laying waste to Triple A in his first stint in Salt Lake, hitting .403/.467/.623 in 20 games with 10 extra-base hits, six stolen bases, and 21 runs scored.
