Angels Vs. Rays Final Score: Halos Blanked By David Price, 5-0

David Price pitched a five-hit shutout and struck out six as the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-0 in the opener of a three-game series at Tropicana Field. Ervin Santana allowed four home runs in the loss, dropping to 0-4 on the season.

The Angels are now 6-11.

Desmond Jennings, Carlos Pena, Luke Scott, and B.J. Upton all hit solo home runs off Santana, who allowed five runs on eight hits in his five innings of work. Santana walked one and struck out four, and saw his ERA rise to 7.23.

Price threw 119 pitches in his complete game shutout, including 80 strikes, improving to 3-1 on the season with a 2.62 ERA.

Torii Hunter had two hits in defeat for the Angels. C.J. Wilson starts for the Halos on Wednesday, facing Jeremy Hellickson for Tampa Bay.
