When the Angels released Scott Kazmir last year, part of his contract had a $2.5 million option buyout in 2012, so depending on how you account for that the Angels have either $144.82 million or $147.32 million committed to this season, with 18 players under contract. If the remaining seven roster spots are filled by minimum salary players ($480,000 is the minimum), the payroll will be between $150-153 million, before any other moves are made.
