Jerome Williams looks for his third win in as many starts on Thursday night as the Los Angeles Angels complete their three-game series with the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. Williams, who was out of the major leagues since 2007, has made two starts and three relief appearances in the last three weeks for the Halos. He beat the Mariners in Seattle last week.
Williams has pitched seven innings in each of his two starts, both wins. As a starter, he has allowed five runs in 14 innings, with two walks and 12 strikeouts, but as a reliever he has allowed five runs in nearly four innings, with one walk and two strikeouts. Williams last pitched on Friday in relief against the Minnesota Twins.
