The Angels went 6-3 against the Orioles this season.
In Saturday's game, Mark Reynolds of the Baltimore Orioles homered in the first inning, and was hit in the head by an Ervin Santana pitch in the third inning. Reynolds believes the beaning was on purpose, and is not in the lineup in Sunday's finale with the Los Angeles Angels. Roch Kubatko of MASN has the details:
"I don't think he tried to hit me in the head, but I think he hit me on purpose," Reynolds said. "He threw a first-pitch slider. Why throw a first-pitch slider and hit me on the next pitch? But I think he hit me on purpose. I don't think he tried to hit me in the head, though. If he did..."
Reynolds didn't finish his sentence. A teammate did, and I can't print what he said.
Here are Sunday's starting lineups:
Aybar SS
Kendrick 2B
Abreu DH
Hunter RF
Trumbo 1B
Callaspo 3B
Wells LF
Bourjos CF
Mathis C
Angle CF
Hardy SS

The Los Angeles Angels are running of of time and need all the wins they can get. They turn to Jered Weaver on Sunday morning on three days rest, trying to salvage a game against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. The Orioles have taken the first to games of the weekend series by scores of 8-3 and 6-2. The Halos now trail the Texas Rangers by four games in the loss column with just 11 games left in the season.
Weaver has allowed two total runs in his last two starts, spanning 15 innings. However, the two starts were markedly different, in that Weaver struck out 11 Yankees on September 9 and struck out only one Athletic on September 14. This is the second time this season that Weaver has pitched on three days rest. He did the same on August 28 in Texas, allowing seven runs in six innings in a loss to the Rangers.
Starting Weaver on three days rest on Sunday allows him to be on a regular schedule to pitch twice more during the regular season, including on September 28 against the Rangers in Anaheim, the final game of the regular season and one the Angels hope will be a meaningful one.
Alfredo Simon gets the start for Baltimore in the series finale. He is 4-8 with a 467 ERA on the season. The Angels have beaten the Orioles in five of their eight matchups this season.

Angels Vs. Orioles: Erick Aybar (Two Home Runs, Two Doubles) Powers Halos To Win, 11-2
Erick Aybar had the game of his life on Sunday afternoon, leading the Los Angeles Angels to an 11-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles in the finale of a three-game weekend series at Camden Yards. The shortstop hit two home runs and two doubles for the Halos, leading an 11-run, 15-hit attack to support Jered Weaver, who pitched six strong innings on three days rest for his 18th win.
For good measure, Aybar also walked once, and scored five runs on the afternoon. The five runs scored by Aybar tied an Angels franchise record, set by Tim Salmon on April 12, 1998. Howie Kendrick had three hits, including a double, and three RBI for the Angels. Vernon Wells added his 22nd home run of the season.
Weaver allowed two runs on six hits in his six innings of work. He walked one and struck out two to set a new career high in victories.
The Angles begin a three-game series in Toronto on Monday night, with Jerome Williams starting the opener. Ricky Romero starts for the Blue Jays.
