The Los Angeles Angels began last week just one game behind the Texas Rangers in the American League West, but a tough road trip pushed the Angels further back in the division. The Angels were 2-4 in their run through New York and Toronto, losing two of three games to both the Yankees and Blue Jays, to fall four games behind first-place Texas. The Angels and Rangers begin a four-game series in Anaheim Monday night.

The Angels have beaten the Rangers in five of their nine meetings this season. The two teams face one another 10 more times this season, including seven games in Anaheim. The final three games of the regular season will be the Rangers and Angels playing in southern California, perhaps with the division title on the line.
