AL Rookie Of The Year: Angels' Mark Trumbo Finishes 7th In SB Nation Voting

Mark Trumbo this season became the first Los Angeles Angels rookie in the 51-year history of the franchise to lead the club in both home runs and runs batted in. He has already been honored as the top rookie in the American League by both the Sporting News and the MLB Players Association. However, SB Nation writers didn't jump aboard the Trumbo train, as he came in seventh in the SB Nation AL Rookie of the Year voting.

Michael Pineda of the Seattle Mariners walked away with the award.

Filling in for the injured Kendrys Morales at first base, Trumbo hit .254/.291/.477 with 29 home runs and 87 runs batted in. Here are the full voting results from 24 different SB Nation writers:

Rank Name 1st 2nd 3rd Total
