The LA Galaxy have to travel up to Washington for a midweek clash against the Seattle Sounders, after managing a late 1-1 draw against FC Dallas on Sunday. The Galaxy will try to squeeze in some practice to work things out before the flight. The two clubs should be able to get the match in between two rainstorms, but LA will still have to battle their other Seattle nemesis in the FieldTurf pitch.

For Galaxy forward Pat Noonan, it will be a homecoming. Noonan got the equalizer on Saturday and now will go up against a club had made 21 appearances with. Of course, Noonan in two appearances has equaled his goal total with the Sounders. Seattle declined the option on Noonan's contract last season, and the Galaxy picked him up in the second round of the MLS re-entry draft.

Anytime the Galaxy and Sounders get together, it's another opportunity to celebrate the coaching careers of Sigi Schmid and Bruce Arena. Both coaches have been at the helm of the Galaxy, Schmid from 1999-2004 and Arena the current coach. Between them, are two Galaxy MLS Cups, five Western Conference titles, a 134-79-63 record, and three coach of the year awards.

Both teams have weekend matches, so it'll be interesting to see the starting eleven the two coaches decide to trot out. Likely it will be determined solely by fitness, but there could be other tactics at work. The Galaxy return to The Home Depot Center Saturday to face the New York Red Bulls in a prime time nationally televised match.
