The LA Galaxy will open 2012 MLS Cup playoff action as they play host to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Knockout Round on Thursday night at The Home Depot Center.

With a win, the Galaxy -- who are 2-0-1 against Vancouver this year -- would host the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinal Series against the No. 1-seeded San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday, Nov. 4 at The Home Depot Center. That game would begin at 6 p.m. PT and be televised on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. The second leg of the Semifinal Series would be played at the Earthquakes' Buck Shaw Stadium on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. PT and be shown on ESPN and ESPN Deportes as well.

The winner of the potential Galaxy vs. Earthquakes would face the winner of the series between Real Salt Lake and Seattle Sounders FC in the Western Conference Championship. If the Galaxy make it to the Western Conference Championship for the fourth consecutive year, they would host the first leg at The Home Depot Center on Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. PT. The game would be televised on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.

The 2012 MLS Cup Championship will begin on Dec. 1

The Galaxy's clash with the Whitecaps is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be televised on Time Warner Cable Sports.
