Donovan ties the MLS record for most times on the Best XI.

Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane of the LA Galaxy were named to the MLS' Best XI, the team announced Monday.

The Best XI recognizes the MLS' top 11 players at each position on the field. Including Keane and Donovan, the Galaxy have had a player on the list for five straight seasons and 12 seasons in MLS history.

This is Keane's first appearance on the Best XI. The 32-year-old forward scored a team-high 16 goals and added nine assists during the regular season. He has also scored five goals throughout the MLS Cup playoffs.

This is the sixth straight year Donovan has been announced as one of the MLS' best -- good for tying the MLS record with Dwayne De Rosario. He scored nine goals and had 14 assists on the year, including five assists on game winning goals.

The rest of the Best XI are Sporting Kansas City's Jimmy Nielsen, Matt Besler, Aurelien Collin and Graham Zusi, San Jose Earthquakes' Victor Bernandez and Chris Wondolowski, D.C. United's Chris Pontius, Seattle Sounders' Osvaldo Alonso and New York Red Bulls' Thierry Henry.

The Galaxy plays for its fourth MLS Cup title in club history Saturday, Dec. 1, hosting the Houston Dynamo in Los Angeles.
