The Ducks were in a hole early after Curtis Glencross scored his 21st goal of the season at 3:06 in the first period on a power play. The Ducks evened it up at 1-1 later in the period when Bobby Ryan netted his 24th at 5:58.

In the second period, Anaheim took a 2-1 lead when Corey Perry scored his 31st goal of the 2011-12 NHL season at 7:41. The score stood there until 4:27 of the third period when Alex Tanguay evened it up for the Flames again. The Ducks regrouped and managed to get the game winner when Ryan Getzlaf scored with just 46 seconds left in regulation. The goal was Getzlaf's ninth of the season.

The Ducks certainly had no problems being aggressive. They finished the night with 38 shots on goal, against 29 by the Flames. Anaheim goalie Jonas Hiller stopped all but two of those shots.
