Ducks Vs. Sharks Final Score: Bobby Ryan Leads Anaheim To 5-3 Win In San Jose

The Anaheim Ducks snapped their two-game losing streak on Monday night as they dispatched the San Jose Sharks 5-3 at HP Pavilion. The Ducks have beaten the Sharks in four of their five matchups this season, including all three games in San Jose.

Anaheim came into the game in a goal-scoring funk, having scored just 35 goals in their last 18 contests. The Ducks beat their per game average during that span in each of the first two periods on Monday night.

Bobby Ryan and Francois Beauchemin each scored goals in a wild first period, with Beauchemin's goal coming on the power play, his eighth goal of the season. Martin Havlat had a goal and assist in the opening period for San Jose (36-26-10), and the game was tied at 2-2 after one period.

The Ducks (31-32-11) unloaded 20 shots on Antti Niemi and Thomas Greiss in the second period and scored three goals, including Corey Perry's 35th tally of the season 56 seconds into the period.

Ryan had a goal and two assists in the win, Kyle Palmieri had a goal and an assist, and Lubomir Visnovsky had two assists for the Ducks. Anaheim outshot San Jose on the night, 40-30.

After a franchise-record 32 straight starts, Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller got the night off on Monday in favor of Jeff Deslauriers, who saved 27 of 30 shots in the victory. The Ducks return home to the Honda Center in Anaheim on Wednesday to open a three-game homestand by hosting the St. Louis Blues.
