The Ducks have lost three straight games.
Gabriel Landeskog scored at 1:52 of overtime to give the Colorado Avalanche a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks Monday night at the Pepsi Center in Anaheim. The loss was the third straight for the Ducks, who are nine points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference with just 12 games remaining in the season.
Semyon Varlamov saved 38 of 40 shots in the win for Colorado, who at 78 points are tied with the Phoenix Coyotes for the seventh (and eighth) playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The highlight for the Ducks was Teemu Selanne's power play goal with just 3:52 remaining in the third period that tied the score at 2-2. The goal was the 659th of Seleanne's illustrious career and gave him 1,399 points, moving him past fellow Finnish star Jari Kurri for 19th place on the all-time NHL scoring list.
The Ducks return home to Anaheim Wednesday night to host the Detroit Red Wings.
