The red-hot Anaheim Ducks look for their fourth straight win Friday night as they battle the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center in Newark. The Ducks are 3-0-1 to open their eight-game road trip and have secured at least one point in seven consecutive contests, with a 5-0-2 record during that span.
Anaheim (24-24-9) begins play Friday night eight points out of a playoff spot, as the Phoenix Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings are tied for seventh and eighth in the Western Conference with 65 points. The Ducks are 14-2-3 in their last 19 games.
Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller has a .926 save percentage in his last seven starts, during which he is 5-0-2.
The Devils (32-20-4) are 15-10-3 at home this season though they have lost two straight home games and five of their last eight games in New Jersey. This is the only meeting between the two teams this season. The Devils beat the Ducks 2-1 in Anaheim last season, on October 29, 2100.
