Ducks Vs. Penguins Final Score: Teemu Selanne Wins Game 2-1, Moves Into 12th On All-Time NHL Goal Scoring List

Teemu Selanne scored at 7:51 of the third period, lifting the Anaheim Ducks to a 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins Wednesday night at CONSOL Energy Center. The victory was the third straight win for the Ducks, who are 3-0-1 to start their eight-game road trip, and 5-0-2 in their last seven games.

The Ducks are at .500 (24-24-9) for the first time since November 5, after a 14-2-3 stretch over their last nine games.

Selanne's goal was his 19th of the season and gave him 656 in his career, tying him with Brendan Shanahan for 12th all-time on the NHL goal scoring list. Selanne also has 1,392 points in his career, breaking his tie with Brett Hull for 21st all-time.

Jordan Staal opened the scoring at 6:27 of the first period with his 17th goal of the season, assisted by Pascal Dupuis. Pittsburgh outshot the Ducks 13-8 in the first period.

Anaheim was the aggressor in the second period, getting off 13 shots compared to seven for the Penguins. One of those 13 shots came off the stick of Corey Perry and found the net for his 28th goal of the season. Perry has five goals in his last three games.

Jonas Hiller saved 25 of 26 shots in the win for Anaheim. The Ducks continue their road trip Friday night, facing the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center in Newark.
