The Ducks are 11-2-3 in their last 16 games.

The Anaheim Ducks continue their eight-game road trip on Sunday afternoon against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena. The Ducks opened their trip with a tough 2-1 shootout loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Friday night, the fourth consecutive game the Ducks have gone to an extra period to decide the outcome.

"We think we deserved a better fate," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau told NHL.com. "But when you go 0-for-7 on the power play, even if you get three-four good looks, you don't expect to win."

The Ducks (21-24-9) are 11-2-3 in their last six games, but are still 11 points out of a playoff spot with 28 games remaining in the season. The Ducks are 1-1-1 this season against Columbus (15-33-6), owners of the worst record in the NHL. The Blue Jackets won on Saturday night in Minnesota, their third win in their last four games.

Anaheim on Sunday reassigned defenseman Nate Guenin to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. In 10 games with the Ducks this season, Guenin had one goal, six penalty minutes, and a +1 rating.

Sunday night's 3 p.m. PST game will be televised by KDOC. For more news and notes on Anaheim Ducks hockey, be sure to read Anaheim Calling.
