Ducks Vs. Flames: Blair Jones Overtime Goal Beats Anaheim 1-0

The good news for the Anaheim Ducks is that they achieved a point Thursday night for their fourth straight game, matching their longest such streak of the season. The bad news is that they only got one point, losing in overtime to the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on a goal by Blair Jones.

The goal by Jones was his third of the season, assisted by Mark Giordano and Lee Stempniak, at 1:51 of overtime. It snapped the three-game winning streak for the Ducks and started off the road trip on a slightly sour note. The Ducks are 3-10-6 on the road this season.

Miikka Kiprusoff saved all 23 shots he faced for the shutout for Calgary, who lost all four games to the Ducks last season. Jonas Hiller returned from his lower body injury to allow no goals in regulation for Anaheim, but suffered the loss thanks to the overtime tally by Jones. Hiller saved 18 of 19 shots.

The Ducks continue their road trip Friday night with a game against the Edmonton Oilers.
