Ryan Lifts Ducks In Overtime Over Red Wings, 2-1

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) – Bobby Ryan scored on a penalty shot with 2:10 to play in overtime, lifting the Anaheim Ducks to a 2-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings at Honda Center.

Ryan was hauled down by Ruslan Salei on a breakaway and awarded the first penalty shot of his career.

He skated in on net and buried a wrister past Jimmy Howard for the win and his 30th goal of the year.

Jason Blake scored in the third period while Dan Ellis stopped 28 shots to help the Ducks win for a second straight game.

Pavel Datsyuk lit the lamp and Howard stopped 26 shots for the Red Wings, who had won their previous two.
