Ducks Vs. Blackhawks: Anaheim Loses 10th Straight Road Game, 4-1 In Chicago

The Anaheim Ducks continued their road woes on Friday night, losing 4-1 to the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center. It was the 10th straight loss away from home for the Ducks, who began a five-game road trek on Friday. Former Duck Ray Emery saved 24 of 25 shots for the win.

Patrick Sharp scored a goal and had an assist to lead the Blackhawks. Sharp has at least one point for Chicago in each of the last eight games, tied for the longest streak in the NHL this season. Four different players scored goals for Chicago.

It could have been worse for the Ducks, as the Blackhawks had a goal waived off when it was ruled that Dave Bolland made contact with Jonas Hiller before the puck went in the net. Bolland later punched one in on the power play at 17:19 of the second period to give Chicago a 3-0 lead.

Teemu Selanne scored the only goal for the Ducks, a goal with 1:47 remaining when the game was long decided. Anaheim is 5-16-5 in its last 26 contests. The Ducks continue their road trip on Saturday night with a battle against the Winnipeg Jets.
