The Anaheim Ducks beat the San Jose Sharks for the second time in three nights, this time 5-4 at HP Pavilion in San Jose, thanks to a hat trick by Corey Perry and four assists by Ryan Getzlaf.
Perry had goals in each period in a wild game that featured 114 penalty minutes.Perry scored at 4:15 of the first period, 9:25 of the second period, and 4:36 of the third period. Getzlaf assisted Perry on all three goals, plus another goal by Jake Newton at 5:29 of the first period.
Sam Jose fought back to tie the game at 4-4, but Dan Sexton scored at the 15 minute mark of the third period to give Anaheim the lead for good, on a shot assisted by Jason Blake.
For the Ducks, Curtis McElhinney saved 18 shots and Timo Pielmeier saved 22. Each goalie allowed a pair of goals.
Because the Ducks scored five goals tonight, fans can get free wings at Hooters, thanks to a promotion with the team.
The Ducks travel to Vancouver Saturday night to battle the 0-3-0 Canucks.

Tonight, the Anaheim Ducks travel to San Jose to face the Sharks at HP Pavilion, in the third preseason game for Anaheim. Tonight's game will start at 7:30 and can be listened to online at AnaheimDucks.com.
The Ducks defeated San Jose 5-2 in Anaheim on Wednesday, in the first preseason game for the Sharks.
A day after reassigning 12 players from its training camp roster, the Ducks announced today that goalie J.P. Levasseur was assigned to Syracuse:
Anaheim now has 36 players remaining on its 2010 Training Camp Roster – 21 forwards, 11 defensemen and four goaltenders.
