No More Visa Issues: Andreas Lilja Cleared To Play For Ducks

Defenseman Andreas Lilja was signed Monday by the Anaheim Ducks to help shore up their defense, as they were outscored 13-2 in their first three games of the season. Lilja, a native of Sweden, hasn't yet played with the Ducks because of work visa issues, but those problems appear to be over, per Curtis Zupke of the Orange County Register:

Luca Sbisa assigned to Syracuse; Andreas Lilja cleared to play for Ducks

The 20-year old Sbisa has seen only 12 minutes of ice time in two games so far this season.

The Ducks hos the Phoenix Coyotes Sunday night at Honda Center.
