The USC Trojans announced on Monday that they will host the Fresno State Bulldogs in 2014, completing the Trojans' schedule. The Trojans, who play nine Pac-12 Conference games each season, will also play Notre Dame at home and Boston College on the road in two years.
The last time USC played Fresno State was in 2005, when the No. 1 Trojans won a slugfest 50-42, behind a sublime performance by Reggie Bush. The Heisman Trophy winner ran for a career-best 294 yards on just 23 carries, and caught three passes for 68 more yards. The win was the 33rd consecutive victory for the Trojans.
Bush had touchdown runs of 45 yards and 50 yards, and the latter featured him stopping on a dime to elude Fresno State defenders.
The only other time the Trojans and Bulldogs met came in the 1992 Freedom Bowl, where a 24-7 loss helped get USC head coach Larry Smith fired.
