Free-agent forward Kenyon Martin, who spent the 2011-2012 season with the Los Angeles Clippers, is being courted by the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks among other teams, according to Alan Hahn of Sulia.

Martin is a longshot to join the Knicks because of his unwillingness to accept the veteran's minimum, which would be the likely offer from New York. Boston has gotten into the picture because it has more flexibility to add Martin as a complementary piece.

Martin played in 42 games last season for the Clippers, averaging career lows in points (5.2), rebounds (4.3) and minutes (22.4) on a Clippers team that made the playoffs. He signed as a free agent with the team Feb. 3 after spending seven seasons with the Denver Nuggets and four with the New Jersey Nets.

The 34-year old has averaged 13 points and 7.1 rebounds over his career. He earned a salary of $2.5M with the Clippers last season.
