The USC Trojans have lifted a ban head coach Lane Kiffin instituted on Scott Wolf for discussing an injury to USC kicker Andre Heidari publicly.

For those of you who haven't been following USC Trojans press credential news lately, here's your latest update.

USC head coach Lane Kiffin recently banned Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News from practice. The reason apparently cited was Wolf discussing an injury to Trojan kicker Andre Heidari that hadn't been publicly disclosed by Kiffin, and apparently that did not sit well with the Trojan head coach.

Eventually, the Daily News sports editor and Wolf spoke with USC athletic director Pat Haden, and they managed to get the ban lifted. Here are Wolf's comments after the ban was lifted.

Scott Wolf tweeted out recently from ‏@InsideUSC == I am happy to say my football practice ban was lifted after talks with Pat Haden and area sports editors. Practice policy talks continue ... I want to thank everyone (journalists, fans friends) for their messages of support today

USC laying down this policy of banning writers for reporting on injuries and any other pertinent information must be frustrating to beat reporters, and is probably a bit controversial because of how little it gives the media to do at these practices. Washington instituted a similar policy later in the day.
