The USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins both picked up wins on Saturday, with Matt Barkley and Johnathan Franklin among the nation's top performers. SB Nation's Dan Rubenstein went over some of the highlights from Week 2 of the college football schedule, and spoke about the Los Angeles-area stars.

The Trojans and Bruins will look to continue their early-season success this weekend.

USC kicks off its Pac-12 schedule against the Stanford Cardinal in Palo Alto. USC is hoping to avenge a triple overtime loss to the Cardinal in 2011.

UCLA takes on Houston to try and move to 3-0 on the season. The Bruins suffered a season-opening loss to the Cougars last year.
