Tiger Woods was in the lead for a bit of time until Seung-Yul Noh stormed ahead to take the top spot on the leaderboard after the first day of golf at the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship.

Woods ended the day tied for third with Jeff Overton and Ryan Moore at 7-under - two strokes shy of Noh. Chris Kirk is sitting in second place at 8-under overall, and PGA Champion Rory McIilroy is tied for sixth with Bryce Molder at 6-under.

A couple other golfers with ties to the Los Angeles area had days to write home about. UCLA Bruins alum John Merrick and Hunger Mahan (born in Orange, CA) tied for 17th place at 3-under on the day. Phil Mickelson also ended the day at 3-under.
