Projected starter Isiah Wiley will not play this season for the Trojans.

The USC Trojans suffered a big blow to their secondary on Friday as they learned cornerback Isiah Wiley will be ineligible for the upcoming season.

Wiley really came on strong last season and was expected to lead an improve Trojans defense in 2012. He recorded 39 tackles and recovered a fumble as a junior last year, highlighted by an 11-tackle game against the Stanford Cardinal.

The NCAA also ruled that linebacker Marquis Simmons and cornerback Brian Baucham were cleared of academic issues and will be able to play.

With the depth chart a bit thinner at the corner position, look for Torin Harris to regain his starting spot in place of Wiley. Harris was lost to injury last season. Nickell Robey is still projected to be the other starter at cornerback.
