PGA Championship 2012 Purse: Tiger Woods Top Earner From Los Angeles

Stay connected for news and updates

Tiger Woods finished in 11th place in the 2012 PGA Championship, and despite not managing to end up winning a major, he ended up with a lot of money overall. Woods earned $143,286 for his efforts overall.

Two more Los Angeles golfers earned money from this tournament. John Huh tied for 68th with $15,150, Cameron Triangle finished last among those who made the cut at 72nd place with $14,800. There were several other Los Angeles golfers in the hunt in the tournament, but Brendan Steele, Charlie Wi, Hunter Mahan, Kevin Stadler and Rickie Fowler missed the cut.

In the event of a tie -- and there's always ties -- the prize money will get distributed around evenly. For example, if there's a four-way tie for second, the second-, third-, fourth- and fifth-place prizes are combined. Woods finished tied with 11th and ended up with as much money as everyone else.
